is an artist based between Athens and Limassol. Her practice explores cultural memory, collective narratives, and the politics of display, often navigating the thresholds between public and private. In Data Storage of a True Spectrum, shards of compact discs revolve on a motorised axis, refracting beams of sunlight onto the gallery wall. Inspired by an illustration from a children’s science book, Xenofontos transforms a simple experiment into a shimmering installation where industrial detritus becomes a prism of spectral light. The work explores memory and obsolescence, turning discarded digital media into a luminous archive that resists invisibility. Data Storage of a True Spectrum reflects Xenofontos’s ongoing engagement with material residues of technology, revealing how outmoded media can still generate wonder and new perceptual experiences.
